Find Your Qibla is an exclusive coaching program that will help you discover your compass that will lead to the college of your dreams and the life you want beyond it.
The main purpose of FYQ is self-discovery and spiritual awakening. It is part life coaching, part college counseling and part career guidance.
It's a lifelong journey to help you align your goals towards Akhirah and to become successful in both the Worlds.
Firstly, students need to figure out who they are and define what success means to THEM.
Then, they must develop a clear and comprehensive plan to transform their vision and goals into a reality.
Secondly, it's about unlocking and nurturing your passion in a way that enriches your spiritual life.
And using your connection to Allah and alignment with your passion to get into the college of your dreams.
Arm you with such an extraordinary vision and narrative that you will have colleges chasing after you.
Dig deep to help you identify your passions and then develop a “Saturday Morning Project” to explore them.
Infuse yourself with self-belief and expand your vision about what is possible to accomplish with your lives.
Develop a career vision that aligns with your values and strengths

Founder/Head Coach Five Before College
After graduating from Harvard, Brother Hamzah spent over 20 years as a high school teacher and college counselor at private and Islamic schools in New England. He has
helped hundreds of Muslim teenagers on their college journey, and his students have secured spots at top schools like Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, and many
others.
Hamzah's deep understanding of the college admissions process and commitment to my students' success sets Five Before College apart. His goal is not just to help you get into
your dream college, but for college to be a step along your path to Jannat al-firdous
insha'Allah

...But the problem is that too many students wait until their senior year and college
applications to start figuring out who they are!
They spend most of high school so caught up in day-to-day activities at the school

This is our most premium package and has extremely limited space.

We dive deep into the heart of what makes each student unique. This personalized approach ensures that the work you do in FYQ is not informational but transformational.
By meeting regularly to review your unique goals and vision, we help you stay on track on your journey to the highest levels of success in this world and the next.

Our Daily Mindset Work section is dedicated to nurturing the mental and emotional resilience needed to thrive under the pressures of high school and beyond. Through daily meditation, reflections, and tailored motivational strategies, students learn to cultivate a growth mindset.
We ensure that our students not only excel academically but also develop the inner strength to pursue their dreams.

Each week, a new unit consisting of 5 video lessons and thought-provoking assignments is released. During our weekly live sessions, you get to immerse yourself in a collaborative learning environment and community of like-minded peers all on the same journey to find their Qibla.
These live sessions not only offer valuable insights but also provide opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification.

These assignments are more than just tasks; they're catalysts for growth, pushing you to analyze and reflect on your strengths, goals, and the unique value you bring to your dream colleges.
Each assignment is an opportunity to break through personal barriers, uncover deeper insights about your future path, and articulate your vision with clarity and confidence
Even if your destination were to the east or to the west, the orientation that a compass gives you by pointing north allows you to find your way.
Alhamdulillah, Islam has given us that compass. Five times a day, wherever we are, we pull out our compass and face towards the Qibla.
For a student to maintain their Muslim identity in this era of fitna and fasaad, they must “find their qibla.”
They must identify their true north—a comprehensive vision for success in this world and the next.
This is the goal of “Find Your Qibla.”

"Find Your Qibla" Coaching is not just about Academics

I want to Help students breathe life into their
connection with Allah
May Allah swt reward you greatly for supporting Musa in this journey. We are so pleased to hear he is dedicated to the FYQ program and is doing well. I feel so excited that he is opening up to you about his new social situation at school and in the burbs and am very hopeful he will find friends and clubs he truly enjoys and appreciates. Faisal and I are trying our best to support him, and please do let us know if there is anything specific we can do to help. Thank you, sending our love and dua :)
As parents of a teen boy entering 8th grade in Fall 2025, we wanted him to spend the summer engaged in meaningful and purposeful activities rather than idle time. Around this time, we learned about the FYQ Program through a WhatsApp group, and what immediately caught our attention was the powerful imagery in their message: “How do you stand out like a red umbrella in a sea of black umbrellas?” The promise of the program was clear and deeply resonated with us—mentorship and guidance through self-discovery, helping children find their "qibla," or direction, in life. We enrolled our son in the Summer 2025 Cohort 2, and looking back, it has been one of the most impactful decisions we have made for his personal growth. Over the course of eight weeks, we witnessed tremendous progress in our child. The coaches guided him step by step, from ideation to developing a meaningful SMP (Saturday Morning Project), and ultimately to presenting his project with confidence before an audience. The structured approach combined creativity, accountability, and purpose. As parents, we especially valued the regular check-ins with coaches—both through 1:1 sessions and active WhatsApp group updates—which kept us informed of our son’s progress and helped us better understand his evolving interests and strengths.
One of the most valuable outcomes was the soul-searching aspect of the program. Our son was encouraged to reflect on his values, aspirations, and the direction he wishes to take in life. It was insightful and humbling to see him articulate what matters to him, where he envisions himself, and how he would like to navigate future challenges while staying true to his principles. Overall, we are abundantly satisfied with the FYQ program. It delivered on its promise of combining personal growth, skill-building, and spiritual grounding. We highly recommend it to any parent who wants their child to develop clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose—qualities that will not only prepare them for college and career but also keep them connected to their deen.
FYQ is a very inspiring program, not only for our children but also for us, as adults and Muslims, first-generation in the US who navigate issues of identity, exposure, and academic success. Your program has introduced us to the idea that success has many faces and that academic pursuits should be balanced with other aspects of life at all levels. The ongoing work that Sr. Asumini did with Ahmed, along with your valuable sessions, workshops, and webinars, reassured us that our teen can start thinking about his future based on sacred values.
FYQ is a must in today's world, filled with distractions and misleading directions. FYQ is not only helpful for my kid, but as a mom, it helps me understand his thoughts and limits through the systematic approach of his coaches and the regular meetings they hold with the kids and parents. FYQ is an experience I encourage all families to give their children a chance to participate in. Actually, FYQ was my son's 15th birthday gift. I wish I had given it to him when he was 12, but coming late is better than not coming at all. May Allah reward you and your families with the best in this life and the hereafter.
Find Your Qibla (FYQ) is primarily designed for Muslim students in Grades 8 through 11. They should be students who want to uncover their unique skills and talents and create a personalized roadmap to high school, college, and akhira success. That said, several current college students, seniors, and people of other faiths have participated in the program because they too yearn to discover purpose in their lives and develop a clear vision for their future. I believe FYQ is a perfect fit for them as well. While initial interest in the program may come from parents, it is critical that the students are completely on board with the decision to join FYQ. That is why I never sign on a new student without first having an extensive 1:1 interview with them where I assess their maturity and coachability and dig into their biggest roadblocks and greatest dreams.
FYQ is an 8-week program that includes weekly 1:1 coaching calls, bi-weekly live workshops, guest mentorship sessions, breakthrough assignments, recorded modules, and more. InshAllah, the program officially begins in Ramadan, but the 1:1 calls begin as soon as people sign up.
FYQ has 3 goals: 1) To develop a rock-solid akhira orientation—the yaqeen that true success lies only in pleasing Allah. 2) To uncover your dunyawi Qibla—a crystal-clear vision of what you want to accomplish with your worldly life. 3) To launch a Saturday Morning Project. Whether it is starting a small business, founding an NGO, launching a podcast or YouTube channel, creating an app or a video game, or building a service project, the goal is to dream big and take the practical steps to launch a real-world project that is so exciting and aligns so closely with your Qibla that you’ll wake up early on a Saturday to work on it throughout high school and beyond.
Most students applying to top colleges have the stats, but they don’t have the story. They are doing things they “think will look good for college,” but they end up using the same playbook used by every other high school overachiever—take tons of APs, fill your days with endless extracurriculars. By helping students get clear on their WHY, they are able to get clarity about WHAT they are actually trying to achieve. Next they get entrepreneurial coaching on HOW to launch a “Saturday Morning Project” that will astonish and delight admissions officers and have colleges come chasing after them inshAllah.
Between attending the live workshops, participating in the 1:1 coaching calls, and completing the weekly “breakthrough assignments,” the total weekly commitment is approximately 3-5 hours The goal of the program is not information but transformation, so I would not measure the course in terms of time spent but rather in terms of impact achieved.
The heart of the class are the bi-weekly live workshops and 1:1 calls where we will dive deeper into the material, answer questions, and build connections with your fellow FYQers. Students from as far away as Nigeria will be in the cohort inshAllah, and given the miracle of technology, you should be able to attend from all over the world, regardless of time zone. While live attendance is very beneficial, all sessions will be recorded, so you can catch up if you ever have a conflict and can’t attend. We will be taking an Eid break halfway through the course so you can celebrate with your families.
If a student completes all the weekly assignments and 1:1 calls but has not launched an MVP of their Saturday Morning Project by the end of the course, we will continue working with them for free until they do so. This ensures that every student achieves this crucial milestone and gains the full benefit of the program.
When it comes to high school and college applications, I like to use the metaphor of teaching teenagers how to drive. The students must be in the driver's seat to achieve success in this program, but they do need the support of their parents in the passenger’s seat to help keep them on track. All parents will have full access to Br. Hamzah and the FBC team, and we will have a 1:1 meeting with parents halfway through to give you an update on your children’s progress.
By the end of the Find Your Qibla program, students will have created a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for their Saturday morning passion project inshAllah. An MVP is a basic, functional version of their project that serves as a starting point or prototype. The goal is for students to turn their ideas into something real and tangible—a proof of concept that can grow into a long-term initiative throughout high school. For example, if a student’s passion project involves launching a YouTube channel, their MVP might be a short, filmed and edited video uploaded on the platform. If they’re starting a podcast, they would complete and share a sample episode. Students interested in creating a non-profit might develop a basic website or organize their first small-scale event. The key is that students walk away with something actionable—an initial version of their project they can refine and build upon over time.
Find Your Qibla is a premium program with limited spaces to ensure personalized attention for each student. The investment reflects the high-quality content, extensive resources, and ongoing support provided. At the end of the FYQ interview, if the program seems like a good fit for both sides, I will discuss the investment details with you. This process ensures that the program is tailored to those who will benefit most. We offer flexible payment plans and limited scholarships to make the program accessible to all.
Find Your Qibla is our flagship program and is the “front door” to working with Br. Hamzah and the FBC team throughout your high school years. Graduates of FYQ can take their journey to the next level with Find Your Qibla Squared—our exclusive accelerator program. Designed to scale their passion projects, enhance their college profiles, and provide expert, one-on-one college and akhira counseling, this program supports students all the way through their senior-year applications and help them gain admission to their dream college, inshAllah.
To enroll, start by filling out the application at the end of which you’ll be able to schedule a short interview with our Director of Enrollment. If it seems like Find Your Qibla could be a great fit, we’ll move forward with scheduling a longer, in-depth interview with Br. Hamzah.
